So this is pretty much the most obvious and universal statement ever, but I LOVE to travel! I am definitely a homebody, but I get excited about venturing out, exploring new places, and trying new things. I’m lucky enough to often travel with my husband when he goes on work trips. And I’m talking about the good places, New York, Seattle, Orlando, New Orleans, and, most recently, Phoenix. I know, totally cool. My packing necessity on these trips? Duh, my camera. We recently traveled out to Arizona for the Super Bowl and even though I was stuck in the hotel for two days working and the weather was not ideal (seriously Arizona, I expected more from you 😉 ) I did manage to sneak out on the best weather day and wander around the Phoenix Zoo for hours. Literally, I can wander around museums and sightsee for hours on end with no concept of time. Though I shoot portraits and photograph people for a living, I love to stretch my creative legs (and lenses 🙂 ) and photograph other subjects and often landscapes every once in a while. It was incredibly fun! The weather was perfect, I made some new friends, and confirmed my love of cacti 🙂
I couldn’t resist adding this little guy in! He was literally a monkey! I’ve never seen a bear climb and jump and swing the way he did! I must’ve spent 20 minutes just watching him.
