making friends at local animal shelter – pet portraits (atlanta photographer)

To say I’m a dog lover is a total understatement.  If it were up to me, I’d have a house filled with them!  But that’s not realistic, at least for now  😉  A little over five years ago, I started volunteering once a week at a local animal shelter called Atlanta Pet Rescue.  They are a no-kill shelter that goes out of their way to rescue, and in some cases, rehabilitate, dogs and cats in need and then finds them a loving forever home.  This organization is filled with love and good, caring people.  Though I can’t volunteer as much as I’d like anymore, I donate my time by taking pet portraits for their web site so every set of paws that walks in there gets a chance to be found by their new loving family.  Check out all of the cute furry friends I met in the photos below and be sure to visit their facility and web site to find a way you can get involved!
